The country blues of Son House, Fred McDowell and Robert Johnson
inspired Slim to take up the slide guitar and sing the blues. That was
in 1991. Fast forward to 2007 and his latest CD, One Man Riot, a most
appropriate title. Surrounded by a group of supporting musicians on
everything from drums/percussion, toy piano and vibraphone, Slim and
the band play country blues like a freight train. All original songs by
Slim tell personal stories, and while the music is a bit 'modernized',
it is still firmly rooted in the traditions of the masters. Did we
forget to mention these guys are from Sweden?
